Agreed. You forgot to mention "Don't watch the battlefield and just press C + Space", though.
As Bryant said, it's usually because in many games, you have a sword-swinging hero. And in others, Paladins (D2 yeye).
They come in thinking they're good after achievements that are not good at all. But I don't understand where the entire "Omfg heal heal stupid n00b" attitude comes in...

Dervishs truly made warriors obsolete. They accomplished what sins couldnt. Why have a warrior (besides the looks and hammer knock downs) when you can have the much more versatile dervish?

Because Dervishes really aren't that good, they have good skills that other classes can use better, but Dervishes themselves kind of suck. Okay well maybe they don't suck because they do have their nice little healing skill that that all of them use in PvP.

Look at the Warrior bar you usually see in GvG.
3 second KD's, 2 of them on a bar (Bull's Strike, Shock).
Interrupt, D-Chop.
Then you have your common skills.
Evis, Exe Strike, Frenzy, Rush and ofcourse, Res Sig.
With Dervs, sure you can use secondary professions, but they don't get a movement stance, an 100% upkeep IAS, 3 second KD's (two on the bar) and a 20 disable interrupt.
Warriors also have higher armour.
Now let's take a full look at Dervs. HoF, not 100% upkeep. Unless you hit the bonus on your 20% Enchantments staff. AoM, which can't be kept up indefinately unless in PvE. Lack of Stonefist Insignia.
But yeah, Dervs make a better (What I like to call) Energy Spiker.
On the other hand, again, Warriors get 100% upkeep IAS, cheap speedboost, more KD time, and a sexy interrupt.
Dervs aren't nearly as versatile in competetive play, because people usually carry certain counters (e.g - Enchantment Removal) that are common. And AoM isn't 100% upkeep, if it was, it would be imba. Also HoF isn't 100% upkeep. Which also poses a problem.

^ This is the quality of players who play warrior.
Warrior is pretty similar to Assassin - in the sense that the bad players are attracted to them. For every Warrior or Assassin who knows what he/she is doing, there will be at least 10 morons running around giving the class a bad name. Plus there's the stereotype that "Warriors are tanks, they have no damage dealing capabilities." So that means Warrior and Assassin are written off as "the worst classes" when in truth, they can spit out some pretty scary damage.
My Warrior is my first and main character - had her for 33 months already, and she's got 8 (soon to be 10) maxed titles. I'm still going for that Phoenix.

It took me 2.5 years to make a warrior, only because i liked the female vabbian, I almost never use her though, talk about a waste of money.

I have 2 warriors [one of each gender], it's not my preferred class though it's fun to bash around for a bit. And yes, my male warrior has man-bra armor :P Man-bra & Skirt armor FTW!

Perhaps it's a good thing there's so many warriors out there The "Post Your Ugly Armor Combinations!" thread would be so much slimmer without our armored friends.
One question I've got, is why would you have two characters of the same class?

If you played during prophecies and didn't have a warrior you basically had nothing to strive for, weapons-wise.
The amount of caster weapons that dropped with usable stats was extremely low, most of them being raven staves.
Besides, before the paragons, Warriors were the only 80 base armor profession and only ones that could wield shields to full potential without a secondary.
Playing a PVE warrior is pretty boring though.

Simple. 2 accounts. ^^
I made my first warrior [female] on my first account. Then after I got hopelessly obsessed with the game, I bought a Collectors Edition [which is now my main account].
And what's so wrong with man-bra & skirt armor? :P

Oh... right, never thought about 2 accounts o_O Interesting.. well, I've heard of some people who have multiple PvE chars of one class on one account...
I'm not talking about that armor, more like... think Pigmail chest, 1k Gladiator hands, ringmail legs, and 1k Wyvern boots. Those little beauties you unearth every now and then.

I have one that i kept remaking for a while.
People love to frontline wrong and most of my friends are caster-type people so I choose to be a warrior. Can't go wrong putting a deep wound in everything...

I've played for more then two years and I've only made one warrior when I started out. It only lasted about two weeks until I deleted him.
